About the book:
All she wanted to do was forget. Forget the memory of walking in on her boyfriend in the middle of, well, another girl. Forget how she had her entire life planned out. And, forget about being perfect all the time. Unfortunately, she was Whitney Vandaveer and despite the fact that she moved to the middle of nowhere – she couldn't.
He always knew he would never be more than nothing. No job, no money, no future. Cole Pritchett had accepted the fact that he would always be the screw up and he was okay with it. Until he met her.
Here's the thing they quickly found out – sometimes we all need a little help escaping who we think we are.
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this cute story!
Whitney has been living in the big city with her father, and always doing what she's expected of, without ever really thinking for herself or knowing what she wants. She gets cheated on by her preppy boyfriend, and decides to spend the summer in the country with her mom and sister.
Cole's had a rough upbringing and can't seem to stay out of trouble. After his girlfriend leaves him for his brother - he's run out of town and decides to start over somewhere else. Then he meets Whitney. At first he pushes her away because he doesn't think a spoiled city girl like her will want anything to do with a country screw-up like him. But these two can't fight the connection that's drawing them together.
I loved Cole and his sexy, sweet, protective ways. Whitney was a little harder to warm up to, but overall, I enjoyed the journey of these two getting together.
If you're looking for a steamy, fun summer read - you'll enjoy this one.

About the Author:
When I'm not writing or playing the part of wife and mother, you can find me dancing back-up for Beyonce, singing back-up for Miranda, or sunning myself on the beach with a drink in hand. Here's the thing about being born and raised in a small town—you have a very vivid imagination! Now, I channel it all to create stories where the girl always ends up with the right guy, first kisses are magical, and a happy ending is just that!
I would like to read it because I love coming across new authors and reading material! Thanks for the giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of this one! And Whitney and Cole sound like great, enjoyable characters despite the difficulty of warming to Whitney. I can't wait to read this! Plus, I LOVE that adorable cover! I'm glad you enjoyed this, overall, Brandi! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat review! :)
