It's been a hectic week back at work and I'm back up in Northern California with my daughter. She just closed on a house and we've been helping unpacking and setting up. I'm tired! Didn't get a lot read of books read, but I loved the two I finished.
Read:
Even though the Scottish accent written in was distracting I did really enjoy Fight or Flight. Monkeewrench was sooo good I can't wait to get for the next story! I think I'll have to break down and buy extra audio credits for the series because none of them are available by audio at my library. :(
Purchased/Received/Library Lend:
I couldn't resist Hate Notes, and it's been a while since I've read Vi Keeland. Hope it's really good. The Last Woman in the Forest spiked my curiosity. Being in love with someone who may have been a serial killer? Yikes! The story sounds all kinds of amazing!
Watched:
I love catching up on Modern Family episodes. They always make me laugh!
I'm dead tired, but at least I have some pretty awesome views the two minutes I get to relax, lol!
How was your week?
Hopefully your upcoming week is more relaxing. Moving is hard work. I have to pick up Hate Notes, I do enjoy Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward. Enjoy your new reads and have time spending time with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm coming home tonight, back to work tomorrow, back up here on Thursday, so won't be resting for a while, lol! Thanks, Jovita! :)
DeleteWe completed on our house this week so I sympathise 100% with the tired (and we haven't even got to the unpacking yet! We're still in the moving phase).
ReplyDeleteHate Notes looks like a good one. I've enjoyed this pair's co-authored books in the past.
Oh, good luck with the unpacking! I hope you have some help! :)
DeleteOh wow beautiful pic! I love the rolling hills... and congrats on your daughter closing on her house! How exciting. :) I think Fight or Flight looks super fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg! Fight or Flight was fun. :)
DeleteI DNFed Outlander because of the Scottish dialect written in, but Young didn't over-do it, so I was ok with it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Outlander had the same thing. I'm glad I have an audio copy of then! Still haven't got around to listening. It's soooo long! :)
DeleteI lovee Modern family.. Did you hear that a character is gonna die this season? I am already worried. And I have been hearing a lot about Fight or Flight, how is it.

Lots of nice books. I adore the Monkeewrench series and the characters. I've fallen behind and need to get back to it. And yes, a lovely view to relax with. Enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
That's a beautiful picture! Relaxing to just look at Lol!
ReplyDeleteCall me twisted but yeah you have me curious about The Last Woman in the Forest!
ReplyDeleteOk now you have piked my curiosity about The Last Woman in the forest!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been hearing good things about Fight or Flight. Accents can be tricky in written form, though.
ReplyDeleteI love the Keeland/Ward writing duo and it’s been quite a while since I’ve read anything by them. I’ll have to look for Hate Notes. The cover is certainly easy on the eyes! :)
