The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
Happy Sunday!
We had a nice trip to Cancun with family. The weather was beautiful. We went enjoyed the beach, a water park and I had a relaxing massage. I enjoyed everything except the mosquito bites.
We got back late on Sunday and I had to work the next day.
Now I'm finishing up all the bookings for our trip to Italy which is just a couple of weeks away. I found a new house sitter and I'm so relived!
Puzzles completed over the last two weeks (I didn't post last Sunday):
1000 Piece Puzzle: Gothic Novels by Gibson Games
1000 Piece Puzzle: Old New England by Charles Wysocki (Milton Bradley)
The panicle hydrangeas are almost done blooming and are turning pretty shades of pink on the ends. I cut a bunch and have them drying but also brought some in for arrangements:
It's been cold here so we've been having a fire going in the wood stove. I love it! So does Peanut!

Read:

Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth-5 Stars
It looks like a lot, but this is two weeks worth of reading. I had a bunch of time to kill on the plane ride back and forth from Cancun. A long flight each way!
After having a few duds a couple of weeks back I was thrilled to love everything I read. My favorite read was Sweep of the Heart! I just finished tonight so I'd be able to participate in our group chat tomorrow. I'm sad this is the last of the Innkeeper Chronicles so far! I forgot about that ending!

How was your week?
Cancun looks amazing, what a great view! Love the puzzles - have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view! And a trip to Italy. What fun! You’re sharing a lot of intriguing titles. I need to check them out.
ReplyDeleteApparently, vacations are great for reading mojo - so many stars! Peanut is such a cutie! Glad to hear a good time was had by all in Cancun.
ReplyDeleteYour trips sound great. I’d love to go to Cancun. (I was there once many years ago).
ReplyDeleteOh! What a beautiful header picture and the view from your room is heaven itself! And then off you go to Italy! How wonderful! Beautiful puzzles! You are talented at flower arrangements! The flowers are lovely. Peanut looks so cozy and comfortable. I read Mad Mabel and loved it as well! How I wish I could meet her in person! I had a pretty good week and am slowly finding a new normal after Daddy's passing. Grandchildren are the best at giving us renewed joy and giggles.
ReplyDeleteYou always do such lovely things with flowers. I just let them grow outside. I'm so glad yu enjoyed Sweep of the Heart. I think I just did the serial blog version which didn't include some of the ending stuff. Look forward to seeing you later!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
What a fabulous view - it sounds like you had a wonderful time in Cancun. I love the way Peanut lies when napping:). And that's the wonderful about hydrangas - they still look fabulous even as they're fading. I haven't yet read the latest Richard Osman, though I'm a huge fan of the series. And I also need to get hold of the latest Benedict Jacka! Have a great week, Rachel.
