Sunday Post #317

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone had a nice, long holiday weekend! I worked last weekend, Tuesday and Thanksgiving Day. Which was fine since we didn't have any plans meeting up with family so soon after returning home from Italy. We had a slow cooker beef roast with carrots, potatoes and gravy over rice, which was easy and delicious! Perfect comfort food to come home to after a busy day!

It's been decent weather during the day with temps in the high 50s but dropping down to the low 30s at night. We've been going through our firewood quickly and it's not even winter yet! The cats are in and out all day, but it's been easy to coax them in at night with the chilly weather.

  2. Three five-star books. I think that's the most I have ever seen from you at once. With the other two being lower, it does seem the universe was looking for balance - LOL! Your kitties are so cute. It looks like Peanut has embraces the other cats.

    1. Yep, can't have all of them be 5 star reads, haha! I wish Peanut was getting along with the other cats! It's a constant battle trying to keep him from going after them. He was just to sleepy and settled in that pic to care that Starla went and slept on the blanket. *sigh*

Road Trip with a Vampire sounds like fun.

  4. I love a roast but my daughter can't eat beef But I make it sometimes for me. Your weather is similar to ours with 50s/30s now although even the day is sometimes only mid 40s. Thanks for the heads up on the Kelley Armstrong ARC.

  6. You have the best kitties and puzzles! Too bad you had to work on the holiday but seems like a good slow cooker dinner. Nice!

  7. It was so cold in Chicago! I don't know how you folks who live in such cold weather exist from day to day.

Road Trip with a Vampire looks like a hoot.

  8. I don't blame you for not wanting to go all-out Thanksgiving after a big trip. Cute cat antics ignoring each other. Ooo, that floral puzzle with its repeat flower patterns looks tough. I still need to read the new Mimi Matthews.

    Have a good week, Rachel!

  9. Happy Thanksgiving. What is it that you do that you had to work on the holiday? We had a nice weekend. Both kids were home and we spent time together. My son had to work on Thanksgiving as well (LNA). I didn't get much reading done, but my daughter and I watched a lot of TV, to include Stranger Things!
