Sunday Post #109

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

I was up in Central Calfornia Thursday and Friday and we got quite a bit of rain yesterday. It started raining in the middle of the night and it was so heavy and windy it woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep. We decided to go to my daughter's on Friday instead of staying so now we're in Northern California. It's a bit cold, but beautiful as the hills are turning green now:

You can't really make them out with the photo this size, but there are five deer lying down at the bottom of the hill. I love seeing the deer and wild turkeys here!

With all the driving we did on Thursday and Friday my husband and I got through the audio of Alpha and Omega and are part way through Cry Wolf. This will be my third re-read of the Alpha and Omega series. I'm getting ready to pick up the newest installment Wild Sign, which releases March 16th. I finished the audio of Caressed by Ice for my read-along with Anne @Books of my Heart. Love the Psy-Changeling romances! A Stranger in Town was amazing! Of course now I want the next story.

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

Two ARCs and two library lends. Excited for them all.

  3. I finally saw a deers too! I keep seeing tracks near our house, but lol first time I saw one. Though better stay away in the summer, I do not need your deer flies!

  5. That photo is just stunning, Rachel! I keep scrolling back up to look at it. :) I enjoyed In the Penalty Box. It was sweet but surprisingly emotional, too.

  11. Awesome photo! I woke up to snow today, but since I don't have to go anywhere in it I didn't really mind. And my copy of A Stranger in Town comes in next week! I'm very excited to read it. :)

  15. I love how lush and green it can get in NorCal through the spring and that is so neat that you got to see the herd of deer.
I wanted to re-listen to the Alpha and Omega series before Wild Rain, but I got too many other books (when do I don't) so I'll go in cold turkey and hope I remember where things left off after Burn Bright. Stranger in Town was great.
I got the new Amanda Quick, too.

    Have a good week, Rachel!

  17. What a great photo! I love how you get out into these natural areas We just stay home but I like our yard at least. I was really glad I reread the Alpha & Omega series before Wild Sign, especially with also doing the Mercy Read-along last year. It really made everything clearer in my mind. Thanks again for joining the Read-along this year. It's been a lot of fun so far. Happy Valentine's Day!

  20. I love seeing Deer out in the wild and the ideas of wild Turkeys makes me laugh... That's definitely not something I'd ever see on a walk in the forest. :)

Hope this week has been a good one.
