Sunday Post #245

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

I missed last Sunday Post because I was in Austin, TX babysitting grandkids for four days while my daughter and SIL celebrated their anniversary. It was very busy. We went to the movies, went to Book People in downtown Austin, visited the Capitol Building, played cards and watched Jumanji one and two (newer version) a few times. The Texas Hill Country was gorgeous with all the bluebonnets and Indian paint brush blooming and so green! Came home Monday.

It's been cold and raining at home and winter decided it wasn't done with us yet and we got snow Thursday and Friday. Thankfully it melted Friday afternoon.

It's supposed to be sunny and gorgeous this next week with highs in the low 70s. This weather is nuts!

    1. It was actually nice weather here until we had that freakishly late snow storm Thursday and Friday. Now the snow is melted and it's beautifully green again.

  5. Busy! You read some great books. I bet it was hard to come home from warmth to snow. I'm done with winter, although it is never cold here compared to Minnesota. I loved this WTZ read.

    1. I'm thinking this is Sophia, right? Didn't know you have bluebonnets out in your neck of the woods! We have a variety of them: lupines, but ours are taller. They're so pretty. I'm hoping spring is truly here now! You too, Sophia! :)

    1. I hope you get out there to see them! They're spectacular and I didn't even get good shots or shots with the Indian paintbrush. Too hard to do with two little kids in tow.

    1. It was a busy time, but yes, fun! And yes, just say no to snow in April! Wasn't happy because I think it froze my wisteria blooms. We'll see.

  14. I love your photo of the Capitol. It's such a beautiful building. And it's great that you were able to spend time with your grandkids and that their parents were able to enjoy time together while you did. Book People is one of my favorite bookshops.

We saw lots of lovely wildflowers during our drive to and fro in East Texas last weekend.
