Sunday Post #232- Late Edition

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

I am just posting because we have been out of town with my son, DIL, and grandson in Central California. Just got home after a six hour drive. Didn't post last week because we were in Austin, Texas Thursday-Sunday. On top of that I worked extra this last week. I'm bushed! I'm behind on commenting back but I'll be making the rounds as soon as I hit the publish button.

Fear No Evil: 4.5 Stars
The Maid: 4 Stars

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

I bought up all the White Trash Zombie books on the Audible sale for Anne's read-along starting this January. Click HERE for the details. I grabbed up a lot of books over the last two weeks. Probably more than I'm listing. I'm behind with life being so busy right now, but I'm hoping to catch up.  Loved Katie Ruggle's romantic suspense stories from a few years back so I'm so excited she's has a new book coming out!

  2. I hope you had a wonderful time on your trip. I also was away for a few days, so know how you feel about getting behind and catching up, Rachel. I also loved The Talk of Coyote Canyon. Take your time catching up, with the holidays coming up, you need to get your bearings. Enjoy your week.

  3. I've been traveling almost every week since the start of fall, and I'm tired, too. I do not plan to do any more traveling this year, though we are having guests next weekend.

I did not realize the author of The Maid has a new book coming out. I look forward to hearing more about it. And White Trash Zombies!

  5. Ouch, long drive! Take it easy this week! Hope you enjoy the new books -- I don't think I know anything about them, but something about the cover of the Jo Segura appeals...

  7. Sounds like you were super busy but in the best way. It's always lovely to visit with family. I just finished The Mystery Guest this morning. It was a good follow up. Mom Com and Raiders were great too. Hope you enjoy them! Ruggle is new to me, but I was eyeing that book. Your praise of her past work may make me download it.

    1. I'm looking forward to The Mystery Guest! I've only read Ruggle's romantic suspense so it'll be interesting to see how she does with contemporary romance.

  8. It does sound like you have been very busy but at least some of it has been the fun kind of busy. I am looking forward to re-reading the White Trash Zombie series next year!

  9. Hope you had a good visit with family even though the trips really tuckered you out. Nice haul. I want to read the maid series at some point. Love the White Trash Zombie books on audio so hopefully you will too.

    Have a great week, Rachel!

  11. I had some travel this past weekend to Atlanta and having just got back yesterday I feel behind and out of sorts. Thankfully I was well ahead when I left since my computer screen died on the trip adding another complication. So I hear you! I love those Katie Ruggle books but I'm not sure about straight romance. I like the suspense and mystery aspects too.

Anne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
