The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
Happy Sunday! I skipped last week because we were in Montana again. We got home on Monday late and I feel like I've been recuperating since then. We helped our daughter and SIL move into their house there and it was a lot of work. Still, we had a good time together, watched one of the Wonder Woman movies, played cards, went on a couple of hikes, so it wasn't all work.

It's been cold and rainy the last few days here at home and it seems like the trees fully changed overnight:
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill-3.5 Stars
The Tainted Cup and Fated by Benedict Jacka were books that I've been wanting to read for a while. I'm so glad I've been requesting less so I was able to fit them in, because I loved both! I saw Lark's Top Ten Tuesday and The Woman in Black was featured. It was a movie I had always wanted to watch, but I thought I'd listen to the audio first. It was a classic ghost story! Nice and spooky. The audio was a dramatized version and part of my Audible membership. Now I need to watch the movie and see how they compare.

It's been cold and rainy the last few days, so of course Peanut is napping and enjoying the fire. A purrfect background for my Instagram post!
How was your week?
We have finally (after the hurricane, we've had nothing) gotten rain, and now it's dreary and hard to get outside. I deserve this after complaining so much about no rain. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou did well in your reading, despite being away in Montana. And the trees are magnificent.
Oh, just the rain, thanks! No hurricanes! I hope you didn't have any damage and everyone is safe, Deb! Thanks!
DeleteMontana is a beautiful state. Hope they are all settled, and you got some rest this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Montana is a beautiful state!
DeleteHappy Sunday.

Thank you, Regine! Happy Sunday to you, too!
DeleteGood to hear you had a fun and productive trip. MT a place I would like to visit. I have heard lots of great things. Hope you enjoy your relaxing Sunday!
ReplyDeleteMontana is pretty! Not sure I'd want to live with their winters, though. Thanks! I hope you had a wonderful Sunday as well!
DeleteI'm so glad you were able to read The Tainted Cup and Fated which are both favorites of mine.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
Yes! I was happy to finally be able to squeeze them in!
DeleteWe're getting cold and rainy weather now and I love it! Peanut is adorable. You've got a couple books on my TBR coming up. Hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteIt's that time of year! I'm hoping we'll have fall temps to enjoy for a while yet. Thanks, Lisa! I hope you have a good week, too!
DeleteGlad it wasn't all work in Montana! Its been in the low 80's here and I am over it. Bring on the cold and rain!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Wow, that's unusual for it to be so warm in your area, right?
DeleteThe trees are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary!
DeleteLove that picture of Peanut! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks! My little reading buddy!
DeleteI've done that exact puzzle. Good idea to work it while you listen to your audiobook. Amazing photo of the Fall colors! Wow. And what a pretty cat! Also very fall-colorish!

Thanks Ronyell!
DeleteBeautiful pictures. I've fallen behind in my blog visits and some reviews. Seems like the story of my life right now. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Life does get busy sometimes. I hope you have a wonderful week, too!
DeleteI am so glad you got to Tainted. So good :) I am glad I bought it when I did
ReplyDeleteIt was good! You gave me that extra push to listen to it!
DeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed your trip to MT and got the kids settled. Your fall color is lovely and Peanut is a cutey. I can't wait for book 2 after Tainted Cup. I'm hoping to break out some puzzles soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Rachel!
Thanks, Sophia! Yes, I'm looking forward to book two! I love getting puzzles out this time of year! Hope you get to work some fun ones!
DeleteYour yard looks beautiful with the trees changing. And that's a cute pic of Peanut. I'm glad your Montana trip went well -- sounds like a lot of work! But you got it done and I hope they both will be very happy at their new place. Montana is a pretty state. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having a brilliant fall this year! More vibrant than last year for sure! Montana was a lot of work, but it turned out so nice! You too, Susan!
DeleteI wish I could sleep like Peanut...he looks so comfy and relaxed. :D
ReplyDeleteHe does look super comfy (and adorable!) when he sleeps! :)
DeleteIt is definitely looking like fall in your area! We have the potential for another tropical storm in the Gulf this week, so I fear we won't get fall weather just yet.
ReplyDeleteWe've been helping my husband's grandparents do some work at their lake cabin. They can't keep up with things the way they used to, so we've been clearing brush and doing some sprucing up around the place. They decided to completely remodel the 70's era bathroom in the house, so it should be ready to go by Thanksgiving. It has become one of my favorite traditions to spend the holiday there.
That sounds like a wonderful place to visit! I love traditions like that! I hope you share some photos when it's done. :)
DeleteI had a wonderful week. I am in Cancun with 2 friends for 3 weeks. We are into our second week now and the weather has been amazing. We might get storms in a couple of day, but we shall see. It looks like you had a good visit with your daughter and SIL, even if you had a lot of work. I hope this is a wonderful week and the rain isn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be in Cancun! It's so tropical there! I enjoyed the rain. It was a nice excuse to be home reading by the fire!
DeleteThe color on those trees is just gorgeous! It's been in the 80's here every day for about two weeks but this week should be cooler. I'm ready! I'm looking forward to the new one from Mimi Matthews.
