The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
Happy Sunday!
It's been a busy week with work, cleaning and gardening!
My son, his wife and two kids are out for a visit. They got in late last night and we went to a train museum. We took the mini train ride throughout the property and it was hot! Lower 90s, but it felt hotter. I was drained by the end of the day so I came home and took a nap. I hardly ever take naps.
Tomorrow we're going on a river rafting excursion on the Truckee River. We've done this a couple of years ago and it's a fun, gentle ride.

How was your week?
Weeding? What weeding? Lol. I hate that and always procrastinate a lot!
ReplyDeleteWeeding is no fun! Thankfully I listen to audios while doing it, so it helps make that chore more bearable.
DeleteGood for you getting the gardening done. I need to do more weeding etc and this week will be 80 and cool breezes although the humidity is high, it feels nice. Nice to have the family there.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I haven't got much of anything done with family here! I'll have to get back to it when they leave. Happy to hear you're having some nice weather.
DeleteI hope you are having a wonderful visit with the family, and the heat makes me tired too.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun, but so busy!
DeleteEnjoy your river excursion!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was fun!
DeleteRiver rafting sounds like fun in this type of hot weather. Hope it's enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun! Perfect weather for it!
DeleteHave fun with your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary!
DeleteIt's nice to have family time! Although I am not a fan of that heat either! Pretty puzzle! Starla is adorable as always. Hope you have a good week and I need to check out your review of The Spirit of Love!

Thanks Lisa! It's been fun! Starla is such a sweetie! She's asleep by me right now.
DeletePat on the back for getting to the weeding. Gorgeous puzzle you finished and cute cuddly kitty. So glad you had a fun visit with your son's family. LOL, I can't keep up with young kids without needing a nap afterward, either. Looking like some good reading this week. Looking forward to seeing what you think of Asylum Hotel.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Rachel.
Yes! The heat and the activity level with those little ones is overwhelming, haha! I need to start Asylum Hotel soon!
DeleteI put up a sign from the National Wildlife Federation that will help explain the infrequency of my weeding to the public, I hope. I am planting native plants and they can sometimes make my garden look a little neglected.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with your son's family!
I need to get that sign, lol! Thanks, Deb!
DeleteI want to go on the river rafting excursion with you guys!!!!! And look at that beautiful Starla!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun, Jinger! I recommend Truckee and Tahoe for a visit! Starla is such a sweetie!
DeleteI feel like I've done nothing but weeding all summer long. Enjoy your company and your rafting trip, Rachel.
ReplyDeleteRight?! It's a never ending job! I'm trying to plant more to choke them out! Thank you, Carla!
DeleteEnjoy this week with your family...and try to stay cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ethan! I'm trying, haha!
DeleteThat puzzle is gorgeous! Hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly! It was fun to put together.
DeleteI do love the Murderbot series!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
It's so good!
DeleteWeeding is not exactly my fav thing
ReplyDeleteMe either!
DeleteOh very good post
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good visit with your family. I've been avoiding weeding, but I did make up a spray bottle of weed killer for the cracks in the walk way.
ReplyDeleteI did! I need to do that because it's tough to get in between bricks!
DeleteHow was the river rafting? That can be a lot of fun but if it's super hot you might melt out there. When I was a kid we rafted the Snake and Salmon rivers which was much fun. Starla looks in happy bliss there.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun! We went early to keep out of the heat. In fact it was so cold (47 degrees) when we first started we wore sweatshirts and draped towels on ourselves! That sounds like a lot of fun! She's such a sweetie!
