Author Event & Giveaway: Summer Lovin' Indie Reader Party

On Friday, July 12th 2013 we (Rachel and Arlene) had the pleasure of driving to an amazing author event at the Southern California Pomona Mining Company for a blissful evening of book mingling, dining and even dancing!
There were over a dozen of our favorite Contemporary Adult and New Adult Indie Authors on-site sharing their latest books and fun swag.
Here’s a list of the authors who attended the signing:
Catherine Bybee (Not Quite Dating)
Nyrae Dawn (Charade)
Kailin Gow (Falling for Summer)
Melody Grace (Unbroken)
Audrey Harte (Love in all the Wrong Places)
M.R. Joseph (Reunion)
Kimberly Knight (Where I Need to Be)
Bethany Lopez (Make it Last)
Raine Miller (Naked)
Addison Moore (Someone to Love)
                      Monica Murphy (One Week Girlfriend)
Julie Prestsater (Against the Wall)
Kristen Proby (Come Away With Me)
Elizabeth Reyes (The Moreno Brothers)
CJ Roberts (Captive In The Dark)

So needless to say, we were in absolute book heaven! We had a great time meeting these indie authors as well as chatting and laughing with some fellow book enthusiasts. It was pure enjoyment swapping spicy book recs with one another and hearing about some of the Fifty-type book parties our fellow readers organize and host. O.O

The highlight of the evening was clearly meeting CJ Roberts and having the chance to conduct a live interview with her while she took a break outside of the restaurant. She was hilarious and twisted in the best combination possible. If you missed that interview, be sure to go HERE for more details.

We both came to the event with our own personal book stash ready to have signed, but as always when we meet these authors and their book piles are in reaching distances our hands become grabby, and we walk away with more than we intended. Love it!

Before we share what we brought back, we wanted to announce two book winners that posted a comment on our Author Event Announcement post HERE. Congratulations to Maida from Literary Love Affair and Christine from Styles & Prose, we brought each of you one signed book surprise. So be sure to email us at wavesoffiction@gmail.com with your shipping deets so we can send you your book and swag. J

Lastly, we were lucky enough to get some new additions for our bookshelves and we also made sure to bring back some bundles for our Waves followers.

Because we have FOUR bundles of SIGNED books to share (two signed books per bundle), we wanted to offer as many opportunities as possible to win. So be sure to fill out each rafflecopter for the SIGNED books you’d most like to win. They also include some surprise SWAG as well!! Also, don’t forget to share with us which of the authors on the list you’re most excited to add to your bookshelf. This giveaway is for US residents only. Good luck!
