Sunday Post #56

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

This is my first Sunday Post of the month, and I'm getting it in late. Been super busy, as I'm sure most are this time of year. I've been out of town a lot this month, last weekend I went to Santa Barbara Wine Country and the weather was beautiful!

I loved Sweep of the Blade (Maud & Arland's story) even more than Dina's! The Christmas Pact was less than 3 hours, narrated by two of my favorite narrators Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, and so much fun! Penny For Your Secrets was another win in the Verity Kent series. I hope there'll be more. Regretting You and In the Dark were both amazing and there's a giveaway of each along with an Amazon Giftcard in my posts. $100 for Regretting You! A Wedding in December was such a lovely story, perfect for this time of year!

Watched:

Binge watched the series & I loved the choice of actors for the characters.  The setting, Mel's cabin, Jack's Bar, & the Doc's office were spot on and perfect IMO. Not too happy about the changes made with the whole Jack & Charmaine thing. I hate that plot device anyhow, but it was worse that it was used to complicate things for Jack & Mel, one of my all-time favorite couples. I just hope it (the Charmaine complication) doesn't pan out. Like maybe she's lying in hopes of getting Jack back? At any rate, can't wait for season 2. Hope we don't have to wait long!

I hope everyone enjoys the Holidays and the time off!

How was your week?

  1. I love listening to Sebastian York. Definitely one of my favorite narrators. I need to read that CoHo book. Everyone is RAVING about it. I am considering downloading From Alaska with Love. It looks cute.

  9. It has been a super busy month!
I love Sean and Dina and am excited for their novella but Maud and Arland rocked!!! I'd love more from them too... Sigh. Maybe they'll alternate the books in the future? I hate the thought of M&A returning to secondary characters in the Inn Keeper books.

  12. I'm so glad you loved Regretting You! I know CoHo can be hit or miss for you. I'm excited to read In the Dark. I also loved the new Sarah Morgan. Her books are perfect for Christmastime!

I have 2 episodes left of Virgin River that I'm going to watch today. I'm loving it! I have a feeling Charmaine is going to play the pregnant card in her letter...I'm not looking forward to that revelation. But overall I'm loving the show!!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family, Rachel!

    1. Yes, Sarah Morgan's was such a delight! We'll have to gossip after you're done with Virgin River, but for the most part I loved the adaptation! I'm dying for season 2 now!

Thanks, Brandie! I hope you did, too. :)
