Sunday Post #84

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

We're up north again with my daughter and the grand kids. I ran three miles one day and hiked almost seven miles today. I went early enough to beat the heat, thank goodness, but I'm tired! There were quite a few cows on the trail (and cow-patties!).
We're on our way home Sunday.

Read:

Loved What You Wish For so much! Sunshine on Silver Lake was another win for me. Stopped and started Chasing Lucky so many times over the last two months, got to 30%, but I'm throwing in the towel. I don't read YA much, but I enjoy Jenn Bennett's writing and have loved a couple of her YA novels, but this just isn't for me.

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

I'm loving A Change of View! I'm looking forward to Cowboy For Keeps and His Brand of Justice.

Watched:

Nothing, unless you count the basketball game my son-in-law was watching while we cooked dinner.

  3. Wow, you've really been active this week. Good for you. My husband and I have been going for early morning walks, leaving the house by 6:45 each morning. It's the only way to beat the heat. That's too bad about Chasing Lucky.

  5. Rachel, I hope you've been enjoying your trip to see your daughter and well done on all that exercise! I must admit I have ran less with the humid weather we've been having here recently. Sorry to hear you had a little disappoint with your reading - Hopefully your next choice will be more to your taste. Take care and happy reading. 😃

  6. You're an inspiration with all your outdoor activities. Sorry to hear Chasing Lucky didn't work for you. It had a bit of a different feel from her other books in the beginning, but it did eventually fall into that Bennett groove for me. I also loved Center's book. I appreciate how each of her books has a sort of theme. The last two I read highlighted forgiveness, and this one was about choosing joy. I'm a fan

  11. I'm glad you get to see family and that you are keeping up your energy. I have dumped all my exercise routines and I need to get back to them. It's a beautiful area for being outdoors. I also enjoyed What You Wish For.
