Sunday Post #310

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

Happy Sunday!

It's been a busy week with work, chores, and errands.

My husband I are slowly finalizing details for our trip to Italy in early November. I can't believe it's only a month and a half away! I need to book two more tours while for our time in Rome and then figure out all the places we want to see in the Tuscany/Florence region and Lake Como.

  1. I'm envious of your upcoming trip to Italy. We did not go to Lake Como but we went to what I think is a nearby lake, and we visited a palace there, if you are interested: https://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2024/01/searching-for-italy-palazzo-borromeo-at.html.

I can't resist finding out more about books people rate as 5 stars, so I will be looking up Fugitive Telemetry next!

    1. Thanks for the recommend as I don't have things planned out for Lake Como yet. Fugitive Telemetry was really good, but it's part of The Murderbot series that's best read in order. Hope you decide to pick them up!

  2. You're going to Italy? That's so awesome. I hope you have the best time. I've always wanted to see Florence and Venice, and Verona, and so many places there. I hope you post some pics of your trip when you get back. :D

  3. I've only been to Italy once with my dad right when I was starting college. We had such a great trip. We did almost no tours but just went places that interested us. I was a music minor in college and we went to many concerts all over Europe. I wish to travel but the world is so crazy right now. I hope you have a great trip! oh and I love the books you are reading.

    1. Yes, travel is crazy right now, but we are going on the off-season so hopefully that helps. I've never been to Italy and so I'm excited to go. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip!

  7. Great job on the puzzle! I've got one haunting me right now. Really want to work on it, but the room next to it is full of noisy teenagers. LOL

    1. Oh, noisy teenagers on the weekend can be very distracting! I'd hole up in my room with a book, haha! :)

  8. My sister will be meeting my dad for their Italy trip in a couple weeks, one he would have paid for me to go, but unfortunately I can't take long trips like that during the school year. So I'm jealous! Heart Marks the Spot was on my TBR, I will need to check out your review. Hope you have a good week!

I just started Fugitive Telemetry an hour ago after waiting nearly two month for the library hold. Yea!!!

  11. Some interesting books to check out! Italy, and in November! I'm on a Mediterranean cruise, but not until the end of April, and have been looking up places to veer off to. Wish it was sooner!

  12. Yes, we like to travel off-season to avoid the crowds. A Mediterranean cruise sounds wonderful!
