Kara has a deep dislike for her boss, Max. She also wants him so badly it’s making her nuts. He’s a workaholic, a robot man. And he’s never shown the least bit of interest in her or anything else that wasn’t recorded in the corporate minutes. But when their plane crashes on the way to a meeting, leaving them stranded on a deserted island…just the two of them, all alone with all that ocean around them…Kara decides it’s time to start living. And by living, she means using Max for all the hot sex she’s been denied.
Max wants Kara—has wanted her for a long time. Unable to come out and cross the line between professional and personal, he makes her accompany him on business trips just to have her around. When they crash land and Kara shows him how much she wants him, he decides to quit being so professional and take the woman of his dreams. After all, what happens in the middle of nowhere, stays in the middle of nowhere. Until they’re rescued.
Back in the real world, things aren’t as easy. Kara is afraid to start a relationship with a man who completely ignored her until she took off her clothes, and Max is afraid she’ll never be able to trust him. But when someone makes it clear that Kara’s in danger, Max has more to protect than Kara’s feelings. And now that he has her, he’s not about to let her go.
My Thoughts:
Stranded Temptation may have been short on pages but is was not lacking in story. Ms.
Angel managed to pack in heart pounding excitement, mystery, danger and she got
my pulse racing with scenes that could light up your Kindle from the heat!
The story lays the foundation between Kara and Max. Max is Kara’s boss and so far they’ve kept
things professional. Not that they haven’t
noticed each other, because they have!
Each one of them has harbored fantasies of the other, unbeknownst to
each other.
When the two go on a business trip that Max pilots, they end up crashing en route. Having a near death experience burns any prior reservations they once had of mixing business with pleasure, and it’s smoking hot from there on out.
Getting rescued leaves Kara with some reservations for about
two seconds, until an attempt on her life makes her realize the important
things, like Max being a part of her life.
Max’s protective and possessive side crank up into high gear once he
realizes someone is trying to take away the most important thing in his life,
Kara.
"You're mine, Kara.".....
Warmth crawled up her spine and settled into a fuzzy sensation in her heart. "Max."
"Say it!" He nipped at her lip.
While her brain tried to figure out what the heck was going on, her body urged her to agree and get him to put out the fire inside her. He spoke the truth, and she didn't want to fight it anymore. She nodded. "Yes, I'm yours."
He’s not letting anyone get near
her and they both try to get to the bottom of this mystery before someone harms
Kara for good.
As I said Stranded Temptation packs a big punch for being a
novella and I enjoyed reading every sizzling page.

ReplyDeletewhen I read the book description the first thing I thought is this has got to be a great book because the blurb made me think Beautiful Bastard and On The Island combined. Now if it's any type of combo between those books I would be in heaven!
