Sunday Post #54

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

It's been a busy week at work. I'm looking forward to only working three days next week. I've just started removing my bedroom wallpaper today. I'm listening to an audio book while working (The Retreat by Mark Edwards, which is really good!) so that does help make the process go by quicker, but it's a lot of work! I'm tired, but looking forward to the end result after we paint and update fixtures.

This week I completed my Goodreads Challenge by reaching 150 books read! Maybe I should up my goal next year.

I think Bred in Bone is the best Widow's Island to date with a surprising wrap up of the ongoing mystery arc. Treacherous is the Night was wonderful, and I can't wait to start the next book! Day Zero seemed like a promising end-of-the-world scenario, but didn't pan out for me.

I loved The Bromance Book Club, and even though I wanted to throttle Liz on more than one occasion, Mack was a fun character and so I can't wait to see how their story turns out. Love Robyn Carr so I was thrilled to get a copy of The Country Guesthouse.

Watched:

Continuing to binge through The Big Bang Theory and getting close to the end.

How was your week?

  5. I feel like the only person without a copy of Undercover Bromance right now. I hope it's amazing. I loved the first one, and I am eager to see Mack meet his match. Good luck with the wallpaper. That's a chore right there.

  8. Neat that you're getting a home project done and have a shorter work week. Great mental health break right before the crazies of the holidays. I agree about Bred in the Bone (total shocker there, right?) and yay for loving the second Verity Kent. It's my favorite of the three in the series though I loved them all. I'm getting ready to start the author's older series to see if I'll like it.
LOL, I had the same thought about Liz and Mack's story. Maybe she'll surprise us. :)

    Have a great week, Rachel!

  9. Congratulations on hitting your Goodreads goal! Audiobooks are my go-to for housework or projects.

I wish whoever does book design for the Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh books wouldn't make them look practically identical. Same fonts for the title, same fonts for the author's name, same colors, similar treatment of the cover photo... judging by their covers, the books could be twins. If I were either of those authors, I would be a little annoyed.

  13. Removing wallpaper can be such a chore! We had to do it in our house when we moved in, and I would never put up wallpaper because it's such a painful process!!

  14. House remodeling is so fun - once it's done! Lol. It's a lot of work, but so worth it. I wish I could get that Mark Edwards book from the library. I don't have Audible anymore, and I hate that a lot of books are only available that way.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Rachel!

  21. Yeay for Big Bang binges! We've been rewatching and have got up to mid-way through S10. I think we'll have it finished by the end of the year at this rate which is nice. :)

Well done on the Goodreads goal! I've 4 to go so I think I'll make it too! :)

Hope you've enjoyed your 3 day week!
