As a blogger sometimes writing reviews can feel like a chore so it seems I rarely write reviews for non-review books anymore. I feel bad about that, because it's not that I didn't enjoy them less than the books I review here, just that I don't have the time or energy to write a review for each and every book I read. I thought it would be nice to list my favorite non-review books each month to bring more attention to them.
Here are my October 2021 stand outs:
5 Star all the way! Definite Schitt's Creek, (a series I totally love) vibe here!
Tied with Kiss of Snow for favorite in the series.
Kaleb and Sahara's story exceeded my expectations! Don't want to spoil anything, but finally! Can't wait to see how everything plays out after that stunning conclusion! I'm already listening to the next one and loving it!

Atmospheric and spooky! Perfect Fall read!
Riaz and Adria were great, but I think I was more captivated by all that's happening with the ongoing story arc with the Psy and Silence and all the players.
I am clapping and so glad you enjoyed It Happened One Summer. There was just something about the book - the town, its resident's, the heroine's journey to finding herself, the hero's support of her. I just loved it all.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Sam! I can't wait for Hannah and Fox's story next!
DeleteI haven't even seen that one by Simone St. James before. She's been on my radar lately. I don't often reach for mystery/thrillers but I'm definitely keeping her in mind for the next time the mood strikes.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed two books by her. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a mystery/thriller!
DeleteI agree that Tangle of Need for me was more about the overall story ARC. Kaleb's book, Heart of Obsidian is the one I was waiting to read. Thanks for joining in the read-along. They only get better from here forward.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
Yep, Kaleb's books was soooo good! I'm loving Vasic and Ivy now in Shield of Winter! I agree, the series gets better and better. I love the Trinity books too!
DeleteI have It Happened One Summer on my TBR, I have the sequel in my NetGalley Queue. I sure hope I enjoy it as much as you did.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice! I got rejected on Netgalley for the sequel *sobs*! I've tried for Edelweiss so we'll see. If not, I'll request a library copy when it comes out. Not like there isn't a million other books I'm set to read, lol!
DeleteI'm glad you got a chance to read An Inquiry Into Love and Death, and I hoped you liked it. It's one of my favs. :)
ReplyDeleteI did like it, Lark! A lot! I'm happy I saw it featured on your blog. :)
DeleteAn Inquiry into Love and Death is going on my list. Oh my stars, Kaleb and Sahara!
ReplyDeleteI find myself doing this more and more- not reviewing everything. Love and death does look good, and yes that cover is very atmospheric!
ReplyDeleteI have It Happened One Summer from the library so I'm really hoping to find time to read it soon. I'm glad you loved it.
