Sunday Post #284

Sunday Post

Sunday Salon

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

Busy week with recuperating from a long travel day with delays on Sunday (didn't get home from the airport until 12am).  We've had some rain this last week, but today we had some gorgeous weather! High of 68 degrees and partially sunny! The rest of the week is supposed to be just a little cooler with some rain tomorrow.

Drove to Sacramento (about an hour each way) for a doctors appointment because nerves in my right hand and forearm have been giving me problems (numbness & pain) for sometime. Carpel tunnel and stretched, irritated nerves. I was told to sleep in a different position. Or I could have surgery that may or may not be helpful. No thanks.

We have some blubs and shrubs starting to bloom. I think earlier than last year.

Narcissus planted last fall

Crocus & cyclamen in our yard

Daffodils at the fire station on my trail

Flowering Quince on my trail

We're still working our way through Downton Abbey episodes. We're at the end of season four.

I continue to do puzzles while listening to audiobooks while trying to stay off news sites!

  1. We’re far from having spring flowers. Hope the weather keeps improving

  2. Love the puzzles! Jealous of the flowers - we've still got feet of snow here, and I think a little more forecasted for this week. Hope your hand/arm feels better sleeping differently - I'd avoid surgery too if possible!

  3. Carpel tunnel is so frustrating. They told me to wear wrist braces at night or get the surgery that might not work. The braces help when I actually wear them. I usually forget.

  4. The flowers look pretty., so do the puzzles.
A brace might help your wrist/arm, I find wearing an elastic one on occasion helps me .

Wishing you a happy reading week

  5. I love seeing the signs of spring up there. Very encouraging. I am with you. Those surgeries never work. I hope you find some relief.
