Sunday Post #285

The Sunday Post

The Sunday Salon

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.

It's been a busy week with the usual. The weather has been beautiful here with one day reaching 80 degrees! The cats were very pleased! We're back to normal temps in the 50s and it's pouring rain right now.

Today we ran errands and had lunch in town where there was a book sale at the local library. I was able to snag several books and a puzzle.

Double Daffodil in the garden

Starla & Smokey: two peas in a pod

Latest Puzzle Completed: Nantucket Winds by Charles Wysocki

We're headed to Southern California later this week for a short trip to visit our son.

  1. The kitties are so cute. I don't know how I feel about 80s in Feb, though we got over 60. No worries, it's in the 20s right now. LOL. Fake spring was great though.

    1. I'm not a fan of it heating up that much. It was only one day, though. We're back to normal temps and it's been raining a bunch. That is cold, Sam! Thankfully, spring is right around the corner!

  2. it's nice to see the flowers coming up, but rabbits ate all my crocuses. my daffodils haven't risen yet, but i bet they're on their way.

    1. Yes, sometimes my garden gets eaten by either deer or rabbits, too! I spray with deer mace and that helps. My daffodils have just started.

  3. I love seeing the cats. I hope to have a cat again, someday.

The daffodil is beautiful. I don't think they grow here.

    1. I love cats! They really enrich my daily life with their love and daily antics! I know bulbs have to have some cold in order to bloom. I think you can put them in the refrigerator to chill them if you don't get cold enough weather. I know it gets pretty cold in the Austin area over the winter so maybe you wouldn't have to?

    1. Yes, I'm not a fan of having it so warm so soon. It was only a day, though. We're back to our normal winter temps. Those kitties are so cute and entertaining! I love that rug, too, and it was reasonably priced.

  6. I love the cats! 80 degrees in February would be weird. It got close to 60 here for a few days, and that felt really hot.

  16. Send some of the rain my way--or bring it with you, since you are coming this way. Haha. I hope you have a safe trip and a nice visit with your son. We have clouds, just no rain. I hope it does rain. Cuddly cats! I love the photos. The daffodil is beautiful. I hope you enjoyed Wooing the Witch Queen. I really want to read that one.
