About the book: # 1 New York Times and USA Today Bestselling phenomenon.
Some things are worth waiting for...
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago--an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe--please God--make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn't need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing...
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that's just so... so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet...
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she's has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for...
My Thoughts:
Cam has to be one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends to date, and that's saying a lot because I have so many! Lol! He was patient, kind, HOT as heck, and sassy! He had me shivering, panting and swooning!
"You didn't put a shirt on." He cast me a look as he headed into my kitchen. "I know it would break your heart not to be able to see me shirtless."
You got that right, Cam!
Avery has moved across the country to get as far away from her past as possible. She had something terrible happen and instead of healing with the support of her family and friends, they turned their backs on her and made her a social outcast. When Avery literally runs into Cam her luck changes and her life finally starts to look up. Not that Avery readily accepts this. In fact, she does nothing but push it away. With the help of long-suffering Cam and her two newly acquired friends, Jacob and Brit she slowly starts to move on and start living her life again. But can Avery put the past behind her enough to grab onto the amazing (Cam!!) that's in front of her now? You'll have to read and find out.
Like I said before, Cam is just all kinds of wonderful! I was just gaga over him. Let's have him send you a shiver:
He placed a kiss to the corner of my lips and the other side before sliding his hand back around the nape of my neck. His lips moved along my jaw, trailing a fiery path to my ear. A shiver danced along my skin, eliciting a deep, husky chuckle from him.
Avery was a girl I felt very sorry for. I can't imagine going through what she did and not having the support and love of my family or friends. With that being said I had a hard time understanding why she pushed Cam away so much. I can see in the beginning, but IMO Cam really proved to be a real gentleman and hello, HEARTTHROB!! Even so, Avery was a sweet girl and she totally deserved someone like Cam coming into her life.
I look forward to the next book in this world which seems to be centered on Cam's little sister, who has her own damage to deal with. Can't wait!
