Sunday Post #125

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

So I took an unplanned blogging break this last week. I was really busy and didn't have the energy to post anything. I've been having trouble writing reviews lately, also.

It's been hotter than heck out here, on Wednesday we hit 112 and every other day was well over 100 degrees. I couldn't get outside to do any runs. I did workouts inside, but it's not the same. Getting out is a big de-stresser for me especially after work. This weeks temps are a little better, in the 90s. I'll be heading out to Montana on Friday for a family vacation and I'm looking forward to getting away!

Two review books and two that I just felt like reading. Much Ado About You was a miss for me, unfortunately. Waiting on the Rain was really good. I love the McKinney/Walkers! Twice Shy was quirky and cute! The audio was fantastic! Match Made in Paradise was really good, too! It gave me The Simple Wild vibes.

  1. I hope you get some relief and enjoy your vacation. Sometimes when we are very busy it is hard to keep everything going. I am trying to get everything outdoor done now before the HOT of July and August. Plus I have help right now.

    1. Thanks, Anne! It's been hard feeling motivated lately. I'm sure the heat is a huge factor.

  2. Too hot by you for me. Heck, it's too hot here and it's under 100. I hope you have an incredible time in MT. I hope to visit there someday. It looks beautiful.

    1. Yeah, I'm not a fan of this weather, and we can no longer say that we have a dry heat out here with the urban sprawl has come humidity. Thanks!

  3. I struggle to write reviews too! Also Belgium has been very hot this week as well even if it's nothing close to your 112 degree!

  4. Whew, blistering hot for you guys! Glad most of your reading was good. I like Claudia Connor books, but haven't gotten the chance at that one. You snagged a couple good ones that I have, too.
Have a good time in Montana, Rachel!

    1. I know! That wasn't even the real feel. I think it was 117 or something ridiculous. Get me the hell out of here!

  6. Wow. That's definitely hot! I can't run outside when the temperature goes beyond 77 degrees. Lol. I'm just not a fan of the heat. I hope you'll enjoy your family vacation, Rachel! That sounds lovely. And good time to read!

    Have a great week!

  11. I love Schitt's Creek. I hope you have a good vacation. Ugh, that is way too hot - I wouldn't want to be doing much outside either.
