I’ve been planning to attend this event since the beginning of the year, which I was lucky to get a ticket because they sold out in four, short days after going on sale! When I saw some of my favorite authors would be in attendance, I knew I had a hot ticket in my hands! What an amazing event that raised awareness and money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

The line-up was incredible!! Check out the banner above to see the list of the lovelies that gathered to make this event incredibly successful.

Despite this event being jam packed with avid readers, I got a chance to get up close to some pretty amazing authors, and I walked away with some great recommendations. Here are just a few!

As always, my favorite author in this genre, Tarryn Fisher, was my first stop. I was lucky enough to be among the first group of gals that got to meet her. She signed a pretty big stack of books for my roomie Brandie and myself. I also got an extra book of Marrow signed for one lucky Waves of Fiction follower, so don't miss out on the chance to win! Tarryn is absolutely gracious and attentive to the hundreds of ladies that lined up to meet her. She remains one of my favorite because she knows how to connect with her fans. Love her!

Tarryn Fisher was slated to attend the event with Colleen Hoover, so I was bummed to hear when I got there that she cancelled the day before. No worries though! There was plenty of action and excitement throughout the day. There were a few moments of chaos, but considering the star-studded line-up of authors, it was worth it.

And now for the giveaway!! I received a fun bundle of paperback books, along with some cool swag, which I will be giving away with the event tote bag. In addition, the lucky winner will also receive a signed copy of Marrow by Tarryn Fisher.

Author Event & Giveaway: Authors in the OC

I’ve been planning to attend this event since sometime in June when I heard two of my favorite authors, including Tarryn Fisher and Tara Sivec were finally going to make an appearance in Orange County, California. Myself and a fellow bookie friend of mine bought our tickets and marked our calendars for this amazing event that would be raising awareness and money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

The line-up was incredible!! Check out all of the lovelies that gathered to make this event incredibly successful.

With over 30 authors in attendance, we had to plan our strategy of who to go to first and let me tell you, it was quite difficult to decide! Here are a few of the authors I was excited to meet!!

We also got to speak to the following authors, which I have to say that I often get star-struck, so it’s usually an exchange of polite smiles from them and goofy, jaw-dropped looks from me. Here are a few more that were fun to meet.

These gracious authors came loaded with lots of swag and stacks of books available for purchase, which always gets me in heeps of trouble. For this event, I’m proud to say I maintained some restraint. I walked away with two humble book bundles. One for me and one for a lucky Waves of Fiction follower, so let me share…

As I mentioned earlier I was extremely excited to meet the amazing author of The Love Me With Lies series Tarryn Fisher. When I stopped by her table, I got Thief signed as well as the token penny that makes an appearance in every book! Pure excitement! I also got a signed book of Seduction & Snacks from the talented author Tara Sivec, which also came with some fun swag.

For the giveaway, I put together a bundle of swag, including the event tote bag, some book markers and a signed copy of Sweet Home from Tillie Cole and a signed copy of True Love Story by Willow Aster.

Overall, the event was a blast!! There were a few moments of chaos, but considering the top tier line-up, the event was extremely organized and well run. I can’t wait to see who they have on the line-up for next year.
