The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.
I'm up in Cambria, California and enjoying the weather! Much cooler than home temps! Such beautiful coastline views, and it's not that far to drive, 3-3 1/2 hours from our house. We've done some wine tasting, hiked along this shoreline yesterday, but we're headed home today.

I've had a pretty good reading week even though I didn't get any reviews posted, I did have a couple of Spotlight Giveaway posts. I'll get my reviews up this week. Untamed Delights was a lot of fun, and I guess the last book of the Phoenix Pack series. How to Love a Duke in Ten Days was soooo good! I absolutely loved it! This Poison Will Remain was a fun quirky murder mystery. I'm happy I tried Paige Tyler's shifter series again! I didn't really care for the first in the series but Wolf Trouble was much better!

Love Carolyn Brown's cowboys so I snatched this one up Christmas With a Cowboy. Can you believe all the Christmas books out there right now? Bringing Down the Duke and Well Met were last minute downloads. I didn't think I was going take them on, but I saw a few praising reviews and now I have about a week to read them before release day! I requested an audio copy of The Highwayman after LOVING How to Love a Duke in Ten Days (above). I thought I'd try some of Kerrigan Byrne's back list.
Watched:
Nothing new, still binging a few episodes here and there of The Big Bang Theory for some laughs!
How was your week?
Cambria looks gorgeous! Glad you are enjoying your visit. I am starting Well Met today, and I am excited. Everyone seems to like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sam! I have seen good things on Well Met! I'm looking forward to it. :)
DeleteGlad Cambria was a lovely sight and break from the heat. I'm hoping to read and love the Kerrigan Byrne new one this week. Yay for Wolf Trouble being a better time for you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Rachel!
It was a nice break from the heat, but back at home now and it's HOT! 103. Hope you love How to Love a Duke in Ten Days as much as I did! I'm so happy I liked it. I need to request book three now. You too, Sophia Rose! :)
DeleteI haven't read Wolf Trouble yet, but I did recently finish reading Wolf Instinct which I really enjoyed. (There's nothing like reading a series completely out of order! ;D )
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like you could skip around with this series pretty easily, lol. :)
DeleteI want to visit that coast!
ReplyDeleteI do tend to love Brown's xmas books :D
It was beautiful! Brown's book are so much fun. :)
DeleteI loved How to Love a Duke in 10 days!! It was so good. That picture is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful there! Love the pic of the ocean. :)
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I hope you are having the best time!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteWho wants to be cooped up inside writing reviews when you have scenery like that to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week
Beautiful pic, Rachel! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip! I have a copy of The Highwayman on my Kindle. After Vilma Iris recommended it awhile ago, I grabbed a copy that of course I haven't read. LOL. I also want to read Well Met soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brandie. I'm excited to read The Highwayman. There's an audio version that I've downloaded from my library. Hope we both love it! :)
DeleteLove the picture!!! I don't drink but I've always wanted to try wine and go to a wine tasting. I hope you enjoy Well Met and Bringing Down the Duke!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
I love wine tasting and try and look up wineries wherever we go. Thanks! :)
DeleteBeautiful coastline photo! And I’m envious of those lower temps. I’ll be interested to see your thoughts on Well Met. It caught my eye but I’m determined to not request any more arcs for a good long while.
ReplyDeleteI'm sadly back at home in triple digits weather. Just sucks the life out of you when you try and do any exercise outside.
DeleteI'm trying to get through my ARCs, and I didn't want to request more but I couldn't resist Well Met! I hope to get through it this week. :)
Ooh lovely photo. I'm glad it's cooler there! It's not too bad where I live, but it's also rainy. haha

Thanks, Lauren. I wish we had some rain here! :)
DeleteHappy reading! You accumulated all kinds of intriguing titles! Also, oh my gosh the cover for This Poison Will Remain is so vivid and eye-catching. You definitely had me at fun, quirky mystery!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Cambria, but it looks gorgeous! It's always so exciting to get a lot of reading in and be ready to post your reviews! I had a pretty good reading week myself. It looks like you got a lot of great books to add to your library as well! Have a wonderful week Rachel :)
