Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books with "Dead" in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Artsy Reader where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bookish folk to share their lists on that topic.

The topic this week: Ten Books with "Dead" in the Title.

It was a little harder than I thought to chose the one word because I wanted them all to be books I read and enjoyed.

Dead Man's Folly (Hercule Poirot #35) by Agatha Christie
Dead Man's List (San Diego #3) by Karen Rose
Disturbing the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
Dead Man's Wake (Mike Bowditch #14) by Paul Doiron

  3. I haven't read any of these, but you're the first I see using the word dead for this week's prompt.

  5. I'm surprised I've only read 3 of these: Armstrong, Briggs and Rose which are all favorites.

    1. That is surprising! I think you'd like the Mike Bowditch series by Paul Doiron and the Tami Hoag series.

  6. I've read four of them and have a fifth on the library list. That Donner book looks good.

    1. It was really good! I'd like to do a re-read as I now live close to where the whole Donner tragedy happened.

  9. Interesting topic. The only one I've read is Dead Heat. When I looked on my GR shelf at books with "dead" in the title, most of them are "undead" or "deadly" Haha!

  10. It looks like you found a few amazing books! I had considered using "death" for my word this week, but I wanted to focus on spring and new beginnings, so I used "life" instead.

  11. Good Choice, Rachel. I haven't read that Simone St. James book, so will have to see if my library has it. When I went through my physical books, I remember having that Sandra Brown book. I will have to read it in May as one of my two physical books for the month.

  12. I feel like "dead" is a good word for you since you read a lot of mystery/thrillers. I am curious how many I have, though I feel the number is low.

  13. Finding a title with Dead in it on my shelves was more difficult than I thought it would be. I have a couple "deadly" titles, but the only one I found that matched perfectly was Erik Larson's Dead Wake.

  14. I love Patricia Briggs, Kelley Armstrong, and Karen Rose. I have Dead Man's List on hold at the library.
