The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
Happy Sunday!
It felt like fall this week and with highs in the low 70s. The trees are starting to change colors! This next week we'll be back in the upper 80s low 90s as summer throws its last hurrah. The garden flowers are loving the weather!

I had a few routine doctor appointments. One was a "biometric screening" for our health insurance which included blood tests with lipid and glucose panel. If we don't comply we're charged more on our premium every month. It's a little annoying.
My husband and I watched the last couple of Downton Abbey movies in preparation for the final movie. We went and watched the newest in the theatre with my sister and BIL. It was good, but it was a little sad to say goodbye.

My favorite for the week was the Orphan X short story, The Code. I also enjoyed Play Nice but it freaked me out! Here for a Good and Deadly Storms were mixed bags.

How was your week?
Beautiful photos! It's been a while since I've read a Christine Feehan book. I want to check out the Sunrise Lake series.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have some nice winter-themed books coming up!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the Sunrise Lake series!
DeleteLook at those fall leaves! Yay! We do not celebrate fall here...my weather refuses to stop summer from taking over most of the autumn months along the Texas Gulf Coast.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting to see when a book would come out featuring Pickleball.
That was how it was in Southern California, as well. I'm happy to be in a place where we get to see change with the seasons.
DeleteYour garden looks beautiful. We also have a few red leaves among the green, and we know what’s going to happen!
ReplyDeleteYes! It's exciting!
DeleteThose leaves are going to look absolutely stunning in a few weeks - glad you will be getting more good weather before winter closes in. We are back to our customary wind, rain and coolness after the spookily hot, dry summer. And a pickleball book! My son and his wife love the game and play it when they can't get to a tennis court. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager for fall. We have such nice weather and the trees are gorgeous! Hope you get some more moderate weather your way. I should play more pickleball. We have nice courts not too far away from us! You have a wonderful week too, Sarah!
DeleteHope you have a great week! I love watching the leaves change colors.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Fall is my favorite season!
DeleteThe leaves are so pretty!! So are the flowers. That puzzle is cute too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Samantha! Love doing puzzles!
DeleteBeautiful pictures. It's still in the 90's here.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's hot!
DeleteSuch a nice week with better weather and lovely nature photos. A productive week for you getting those things handled.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Yes, it's a necessary evil at this point in my life I guess.
DeleteLove the photos! I I hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vicki!
DeleteWe too are about to get hit by summer's last hurrah with high temps this week. Love your leaf transitions and the wisteria. Love the whimsical art of Charles Wysocki puzzles. Yay, you got the new Patricia Briggs!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and hope those health tests go well, Rachel!
Thanks, Sophia! I was so excited to finally get approval for the new Patricia Briggs! Love Charles Wysock!
DeleteBeautiful photos! We have had crazy weather here. The trees are looking autumnal here.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books.

DeleteThe flowers are beautiful! We have to do the same thing for the health insurance in my school district as well. We had the 90 degree weather this week, I want my cooler temps soon! Awesome giveaway, I had to go enter. Have a good week!

Thank you! I guess it's incentive to keep healthy. We'll be close to the 90s this week and same here! Good luck in the giveaway, Lisa!
DeleteI plan to watch the Downton Abbey finale soon.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely fall week.
Hope you enjoy it and have a lovely week, too!
DeleteLove seeing those leaves change color. I never finished the Downton Abbey show. But I did watch both movies on a long flight..
ReplyDeleteAll the seasons were really good. So were the movies, but this last one was bittersweet as it was the end!
DeleteI love the plant photos! I'm excited for fall. I'm done being hot and sweaty all the time.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a relatively mild summer here, but I'm still looking forward to fall and the lower temps!
DeleteWe had fake fall last week, so that means its still been summer this week hahaha
ReplyDeleteWe also had a sort of fake fall last week, but for the most part this has been a relatively mild summer here. Hope you get some nice weather soon, Ethan!
DeleteI have to get a full blood panel 2xs a year, and it comes out of my deductible. Glad you got it over with!
ReplyDeleteYes, I guess it's good to know where you're at health wise.
DeleteLove the flower arrangement!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWow! These flowers look so beautiful! And I really need to watch the rest of the Downton Abbey series soon.

DeleteAwwww lovely flowers
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAh, I'm so excited for fall and see the leaves change colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the changing colors!
DeleteSuch pretty flowers. Our trees here are turning colors too. Next week I'll try to post a photo. It's great you saw the new Downton Abbey movie. My husband wants to go too ... to the theater. It is sad that this is the finale. I hope the movie is a bit fun to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! I look forward to seeing your photos! Yes, I'm not a fan of going to the theatre much, but it was fun to get out. The movie was bittersweet. I look forward to your thoughts.
DeleteThe weather is changing here - the other morning the "feels like" temp was 48F!! Brrr. I went and got some pumpkins and mums for my front porch.
