Sunday Post #40

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

We're up in Park City, Utah this week and it's gorgeous! It's my first visit here but I'd love to come back.  The town is so cute with lots of great places to eat and there's tons of stuff to do. Flying home tomorrow (Sunday) *sobs*.

As expected, because we've been so busy I haven't got much reading done. I read and loved Life and Other Inconveniences last week.

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

These are all library lends/audio books.  The Scent of Murder captured my attention after reading Lark's review.  I have a physical copy of One Summer in Paris sent by the publisher, and I just knew I wouldn't get to it unless I listened to the audio version.  I didn't really care for the first book in Paige Tyler's SWAT Wolf Alpha series, but I've seen other glowing reviews and they mentioned the first book wasn't as strong. I'm going to give the series another try.

Watched:

Not really a movie I'd normally pick, but when you're on vacation with family it's a group decision.  It was funny and I ended up liking it.

How was your week?

  2. I remember watching The Hangover, it's just funny how everything that can go wrong will go wrong.

  5. That photo is stunning! I'm sure you'll be sad to leave! I've never seen The Hangover. Like you, it's not the type of movie I would typically pick. LOL Hope you're enjoying your weekend, Rachel!

  8. That photo is so beautiful. It looks so unreal but I'm sure the picture doesn't even do it justice. I hope you had a wonderful trip and a safe return. I have watched the Hangover and it was funny in the aspect that everything that went wrong totally did but like you it is not my typical pick for a movie.

    Have a wonderful week!

  10. Park City!!! Love that place. It's great in winter, too. I just visited Utah to visit family and went camping up in the Uintahs.

Hopefully your revisit with Paige Tyler's series goes well. The fourth, sixth, and eighth books are my favs. :)

LOL, I might have watched a movie or two that wouldn't have been my vote when family was involved.

Glad you had a good time and hope you have a nice week.

    1. It was gorgeous! I hope you had a great time camping! I've heard from more than one source that the series gets better so I'm looking forward to reading book two. Isn't that how it always works with family vacations? Lol! Thanks, Sophia Rose! :)

  12. I am glad you are having a nice time in Park City! It looks like a beautiful place. My in-laws just moved to Utah earlier this summer and are loving it so far. I am not sure when we will get around to visiting them. It's a bit of a drive to get there. I hope you enjoy your books! Scent of Murder sounds really good, and I enjoy Sarah Morgan's work.

I hope you have a great week, Rachel!

  15. Utah looks beautiful. I have wanted to go there since I read one of Paula Stokes books, which took place in Zion National Park. I actually am thinking about reading the new Higgins book. The synopsis made it sound like something I would like, and if you loved it, it must be good.
