Sunday Post #62

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

So, I'm up in Cambria, California, a beach town on the Pacific Coast of California. My husband and I visit here often; whenever we can find a deal. We're enjoying the sunshine even if the temps are a bit cold. Can't complain with middle 60s being the high. We went on a five mile hike above Ragged Point. Elevation gain of 1800+ feet in the 2.5 miles up and my thighs were quite sore, but we had a great time! Plus, no guilt for the wine and goodies consumed on the trip, right? Lol! Here's some  pics. Tide pool, and lazy fire reading.

Watched:

The hubby and I watched a few more episodes, but I think we're going to move on. I don't know what it is about this show, but it just feels off for us. Too gritty, too depressing, I'm not sure, but we just don't like the feeling after watching an episode. Moving on.

  1. You always go on the best weekend excursions. Middle 60s sounds wonderful right now. It's not that bad there, but I feel like we hardly had any time with those milder temps. It was hot, then it was cold, and I like the middle best. Whoo hoo for Jenn Bennett's new book. I have high hopes for that one

  2. More fireside reading... looks heavenly. *sigh* It'll be about 70 here today but then up into the 80's for most of the coming week. Winter? What winter? Chasing Lucky looks so cute. I've only read one by Jenn Bennett so far but I definitely want to read more.

  3. That sounds like an awesome hike! It's difficult to find strenuous hikes where I am but I'm planning a trip to the foothills sooner or later!
I hope you have a great week and enjoy your current reads! :)

  5. Sounds like a wonderful retreat!
Ozark was to dark for me too, the real world is depressing enough right now, I want something lighter where the good guys win.

Wishing you a great reading week

  12. What a great mini vacation Rachel! Beautiful pics! A hike sounds nice, and it's a great way to balance out the wine and goodies for sure! That picture of your Kindle, wine, and the warm fire has me envious :). Have a great time!

  14. Looks like you had a nice vacation. I’ve been planning to watch Ozark, but the darkness of it has me keep putting it off. Great boom haul!
