Top Ten Tuesday: Books with Single-Word Titles

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Artsy Reader where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bookish folk to share their lists on that topic.

This week is Books with Single-Word Titles, and here I'll list some of my favorites:
(Click on cover for Goodreads link:)

Kulti by Mariana Zapata: This is tied with The Wall of Winnipeg and Me as my favorite Zapata! I highly recommend the audio version. Slow burn, hate to love and oh-so-much fun!

Breathe by Kristen Ashley that I've re-read a few times! Can't go wrong with classic K.A. Her Colorado Mountain series is my favorite.

Shattered by Allison Brennan: The Max Revere series is not to be missed! Max comes off abrasive and kind of bitchy at first, but there's heart under all the prickle. The mysteries are riveting!

Rome by Jay Crownover: Jay's Marked Men series! Love, love, love, and Rome, and Rule were my fav's in the series!

Unseen by Karin Slaughter: I LOVE Will Trent, and Unseen was a pivotal book for Sara and Will. The series is just amazing!

Easy by Tammara Webber: One of my all-time favorite romances!

Unforgiven by Jay Crownover: She's on my list twice! I'm loving her new series, this time with sexy crime fighting cowboys!

Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning: My favorite of the series. I kinda wished she ended the series here, but alas that didn't happen and Mac got super irritating in future books.

Friction by Sandra Brown; Sandra Brown is the queen of romantic suspense and twist (or two) at the end that usually has me gasping!

Transcendence by Shay Savage: Never dreamed I'd fall in love with a caveman, but I feel hard for Ehd! I've read and re-read this one, and still love it!

You have a list of one-word books you loved? Give me a link in the comments to your post and I'll come see!

  2. Sometimes I think I have read every book with a one-word title. And then I see you list, and I discover there are many I have missed.

  7. The ones I’ve read: Rome (there’s one scene in that book that makes me cry every time), Easy (one of my all time favorites).

The ones I want to read: Kulti (I’m determined to finally read something by Zapata this year), Breathe (ditto for Kristen Ashley), and Transcendence (doesn’t seem like my thing but friends have raved about it so I one-clicked it).

  9. I haven't read any of these, but thanks for sharing. It's crazy that some authors can come up with just ONE word to title their book. I don't think I could do that. LOL

  10. Karin Slaughter, YAAAS! I devoured the Grant County series and after being really mad about the ending I picked up the Will Trent series, I recently finished book 4.

  14. I've got like five Zapata books between Kindle and Audio so I need to get busy on those. I haven't read Breathe yet, but I've read about half the Colorado Mountain series and its fab so far. Got Transcendence and a few Sandra Brown's on the pile, too. Easy!!! Love that one and Shadowfever (agreed about the series needing to end here). I read my first Jay Crownover and Allison Brennan books just this year and loved them (though I struggled with Unforgiven)

    Great picks, Rachel!

  17. I hardly ever hear anyone say Rome was their favorite Marked Men book. It was mine too! I think because of his experiences, he was one of the deepest of the Marked heroes

  19. Oh, and now that I'm getting in to audiobooks, it looks like I need to check out Kulti. K.A.'s Breathe series is my favorite of hers too, and Crownover's Marked Men Series is still my favorite of hers also :)

  22. Easy is definitely a favourite! Lucas is one of my favourite all time book bf.
My favourite of the Marked Men is probably Jet but I DID love Rowdy a whole lot...

Can you believe I've never read Kulti?! I LOVE Zapata but Kulti and Rhythm, Chord and Malykin are the two I haven't read... I will though! I own them both, it's just a matter of time. :)
