Sunday Post #165

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

Another busy week. If you read my post on Wednesday you know I finally moved into our new house. No more back and forth from Southern California to Northern California! We were without internet for almost a week and had spotty cell service. I lost my cat and was under a cloud of grief until he showed up four days later!! I feel like I've been packing or unpacking for the last 3 months. Got a lot done.

In all of this we had to watch our grandkids for our daughter and I had planned a "glamping" trip on the coast of Mendocino before I knew we'd be in the middle of chaos.

I start my new job Monday.

Some glamping photos. I would've included inside the tent, but I didn't have any photos without the kids:

I'm so behind so I've purchased a couple of audios so I can try and catch up while working here at the house.

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

All are review copies except for Heroic Hearts. What was I thinking?! One thing, I don't have a TV right now so I'm hoping that means I read all the time, lol! I'm most excited for Soul Taken!!!!

How was your week?

  1. That's a beautiful picture of your kitty. So glad kitty came home. You have been doing so much. I hope you had fun/got some R&R during your glamping trip. Good luck with the new job tomorrow. Hope all goes well!

    1. Thanks! I'm so happy we didn't lose him! I didn't get any R&R on the glamping trip (two little kids, lol), but it was fun.

  2. You have to be so excited to be settling in to the new place and job. I can't wait to hear more about it. I tried audiobooks the first time while moving and never gave them up!

  3. Congrats on moving in! That must be a great feeling. And oh no that would be AWFUL losing your cat, I'm so glad he came back. That must have been a tremendous relief.

Love that last pic! The glamping pics look fun also.

  4. Ooh, can't wait to read Love on the Brain and Kit McBride! The glamping looks fun! Not sure if I would camp without a/c though, lol, I'm a bit of a wimp in my older age. Have a great week!

    1. If it was a hot area, I wouldn't want to camp without A/C either. It was by the beach so it was cool and then super cold at night. They had whole mattress pad heaters in the beds so it was nice and toasty in bed. Thanks! You too Lisa!

  5. If it weren't in the middle of a crazy schedule, the glamping trip sounds fab. I'm glad you got your kitty back. Yes, hopefully you can listen and work about the house. That is what I love about audio. :)

    Have a good week, Rachel!

  9. I'm so glad you got your cat back. I would be devastated if I lost either of my cats. Congrats on settling in to your new place. I'll be moving in a couple of weeks so I understand the packing storm and all that. Have a great week.
