The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
I'm in Sequoia National Forrest with a bunch of family. I haven't had much time to myself, hardly enough to get this post up, but it's been fun catching up with extended family/friends. We're heading home tomorrow (Sunday). It's a six hour drive back home so I hope we're on the road early. It's been a busy few weeks! Before we left I sat down and worked on 2023 favorites and hope to post next week. I can't believe we're at the end of the year, it's flown by!

ReplyDeleteThe Weekend Retreat definitely looks fun!
DeleteThanks Greg!
I want to read Ice :D
ReplyDeleteIt's really good! My second time listening.
DeleteCalifornia is such a huge state. I am always wowed when I hear how long it takes you to travel from one part to another. I would love to see that part of the world someday. So glad to see you enjoyed The Takedown. I was surprised by how much I loved it as suspense/action/adventure is not my norm. Looking forward to more adult releases from Walker.
ReplyDeleteIt is a big state! Yes, it was a surprise for me because I wasn't into it the first time I tried reading. I'm glad I didn't just DNF it.
DeleteHope you have an easy trip home! Six hours is a lot. And hope you have a happy new year!
ReplyDeleteMy weekly roundup!
Thanks Nicky!

It was a nice trip. I wish that was reading for one week, lol! It's two weeks worth of reading. I skipped the Sunday Post last week. :)
DeleteI hope you have an amazing trip and lots of fun with your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you, AJ!

ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your picks for your favorites of 2023.
Thanks, Deb! We had a wonderful (if busy) time. :)
DeleteWonderful to have that time with family and friends. It is a busy time of year. I am a fan of Linda Howard but haven't read very many of her books yet. Happy New Year Rachel!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I've loved so many of her backlist, Anne! I think you'd love them too.

ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it, too!
DeleteI haven't been to the Sequoia National Forest since I was 18. My parents took me there after I graduated because I'd always wanted to go. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family. Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya! Not so bad. We listened to an intense, really good audio book!
DeleteOh fun! Sequoia National Forrest! I think my parents took me there when I was a little child, but of course I don't remember it. Hope the drive home wasn't treacherous. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThe drive wasn't bad at all. We listened to a really good audiobook, so the time flew by! Thanks!
DeleteYour trip sounds like a lot of fun! And I'm jealous you already have a copy of Lone Wolf to read. I can't wait for that one. :D
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to get approval! I had just got a rejection on another book I really wanted to it softened the blow a bit, lol. I almost listened to it on our way home. We have another long car ride trip planned so I'll probably save it for then. Hope we both love it, Lark!
DeleteHappy New Year. I hope you find a lot of great books to read this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary! You too!
