My Thoughts:

Eleanor has witnessed Trey Riorden from her bedroom window in “agonized longing” many a time and wished she were the woman he was focused on.  As somewhat of a wallflower all her life, hatching a plan to seduce Trey is well out of her comfort zone, but an opportunity presents and Eleanor takes it. She’s determined to be the kind of woman Trey would notice even if that means being daring and bold, and it works!

Trey has gone through meaningless relationships that more often than not turn toxic.  Swearing off women seems like the answer until he spies Eleanor in his reading group soaking up an erotic story à la 50 Shades.  She invites him to have a look out his window later that night and that puts an end to his ban on women! 

Trey and Eleanor can’t get enough of each other and their encounters were intense and made me very hot and bothered! I wasn’t all that thrilled with some of Eleanor’s dishonesty, but Trey saw right through them, so it wasn’t like waiting for a time bomb to go off when he found out the truth. I liked the growth and self discovery each character as they navigated their romance. 

One thing that did bother me about the story was the constant italicizing.  It was too much, to the point of distraction for me.  Also, the sensual dances that Eleanor performed went on a little too long for me, and I would’ve been fine with only one performance, but it was also an original sort of seduction I haven’t really encountered before. I’m sure others will find it pretty erotic.

This is the first Beth Kery romance I’ve read and I was impressed by Looking Inside.  She wrote Eleanor and Trey with many layers; their connection feel real and powerful, making the sex oh-so-hot!

Arlene's Thoughts
I think the thing that caught my attention about this book is that it seems like Joy meets Everett when she's called to paint a body tattoo on him for a movie role. That seems pretty intimate and well, who knows where it can all lead. I take that back... I'm sure we can all assume where it leads. >.< If the book is as promising as the early ratings I'm seeing, well I can't wait to jump right in. :)

Rachel's Thoughts
This book was not on my radar until Arlene brought it up.  I'm always intrigued by stories that involve musicans, actors, or celebrity types.  How do they pick one special person when they have so many people willing to throw themselves at their feet?  I'm curious what it is about Joy that has Everett pursuing her.  I really want to pick this up now, too! Leave to Arlene to tempt me with another book!
