Sunday Post #63

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

It was a busy week and I hardly realized it passing! I'm back up in Northern California, but I'll be on the road again to come home later today.

Read:

I'm hooked on the Gaslight Mystery series by Victoria Thompson listening to the audio version. Marriage on Madison Avenue was a nice end to the series, and I loved All the Best Lies!

I really enjoyed Catherine Bybee's First Wives Club series, so I'm looking forward to My Way to You.  Bears Behaving Badly sounds fun and I hope it's good.

Watched:

I've been a fan of the Terminator series since it came out back in the 80's and I was happy that the series went back to it's roots. I really liked this new installment, and I think we might get more continuing in the path this one has set. I guess we'll see.

How was your week?

  2. I agree, Madison Ave was a great ending for the series. It was my favorite book. Hmmmm, new Bybee. I have read a ton of her books, but didn't realize she had a new series forthcoming. I will need to check that out.

    1. Yeah, I did too. I think if you just watched the original 3 and then this one you'd be fine. Thanks, Nicci! :)

    1. They're such a great team! Reluctant pair at first, but I think they've grown on each other. Almost done with book 3 now. :)

  5. I'm also enjoying the Gaslight mysteries on audio. I love Brian. But with Murder in Chinatown, which I'm listening right now, the narrator changes and I really liked the initial narrator. Sigh.

Have a great week and enjoy your reads!

    1. That's a bummer. I listened to a sample of the new narrator and I was a little skeptical of her performance. She sounds a little old to perform Sarah's character. I guess we'll see.

  6. Ive never seen any of the Terminator movies. I have also never seen Die Hard. I'm not sure why because my brothers and my husband all love them. I was a child of the 80's who managed to skip all of this!

  8. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Lauren Layne and I don’t even know why. I always enjoy her books. She one of those authors where I kind of know going in what I’m going to get. In a good way. :)

    1. She's sort of been hit or miss for me with her newer books. Marriage on Madison Avenue was enjoyable, but not my favorite LL, and not my fav in the series, either. The second book was the best, IMO. :)

    1. I agree, the two before we're lackluster, but I think I liked the one before the latest better than I thought I would, just because I had such low expectations, lol. :)

  12. I got Bears Behaving Badly too. I do love a good shifter book. So the new Terminator was a good one?
