Sunday Post #92

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

It's been crazy busy at work and I'm exhausted! I barely got any time just to eat my lunch. So glad for the weekend! We left for Northern California on Thursday after work, met my daughter, her husband and the kids for dinner. I was glad to get away!

I did my six mile hike up here in Northern California (picture below) on Friday and the weather was beautiful, temps in the 70s and smoke free! I basked in the loveliness!

Read
Click on cover for Goodreads link:

Loved Her Christmas Cowboy and Rules of Redemption. The Business of Blood was good too, but I wish there was more romance. There's another one coming so I hope the something hinted at comes to be.

I absolutely love this series so I'm happy I got a copy of The Bachelor Cowboy!

Watched:

A whole lot of nothing! I've just been too busy and it's a wonder I've got any reading done.

How was your week?

  1. Rachel, so sorry to hear work has been so hectic! But pleased you were able to get away this weekend, see family, enjoy the countryside and lose yourself in a couple books. 😃 I hope the coming week will be I little less busy at work for you. Take care and happy reading. 🙂

  2. Your week was the opposite to mine - it felt so, so slow. I'm glad you got to spend time with your daughter and her family this weekend. It's a great way to recharge your batteries.
Have a wonderful week ahead, stay safe and healthy :)

  8. I have a feeling the romance will be served on the side and grow with each installment for Bryne's series. Sorry work was so stressful, but glad you got out, saw family and walked.

    1. I'm hoping that's the case. The mystery was good, though. Thanks, Kimberly!

  10. Glad you had a nice break to take a trip to NorCal. Way to go on a six-mile hike and a clear day. Jessica Clare's cowboy series is one I want to read. I'll have to check out that Kerrigan Byrne.

    Have a good week, Rachel!

  18. I bet your hike was absolutely beautiful! I could use a good hike right now! It's starting to get cold here though (and even snow in places in the mountains) and I'm a huge wuss so probably won't happen again until spring sadly. So glad you are able to get out and get some fresh air and exercise!!
