Sunday Post #29

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

Nothing exciting going on, I think I'm still recovering from my big run last Saturday. The rain is back, and it rained on and off in California on Thursday making our drive up north a little exciting (scary) in parts. It was a nice day yesterday, cloudy with sun, but today (Saturday) the rain is about to start up again.

Beard in Mind was cute, but I liked Beard Science better.  The Unhoneymooners was fun, but Josh & Hazel is still my favorite CL. Storm Cursed was amazing!

I enjoyed Jay Crownover's Marked Men series so I'm looking forward to her take on cowboys!

How was your week?

  1. I think I liked life of the party, I can not recall, lol

  2. I have both Beard in Mind and The Unhoneymooners on my TBR, I am glad you enjoyed them. I hope you have a great week ahead.

  3. I am dying to read the UNHoneymooners! Have a great week ahead.

  4. I loled The Unhoneymooners but agree Josh and Hazel is my fav too. Have a great week!!

  5. I think rain in California is not a bad thing! When we visited four years ago the threats of fire were everywhere due to the drought. Have a great week!

    1. Oh yes, we always welcome the rain here, but it's not fun to drive in, lol! You too Sophie! :)

  6. The rain has been crazy in NJ and I heard California is getting a lot too. I hope that is sort of the norm for you all now, so much better than the fires but it would be nice to just have normal weather. lol

I hope you have a great week, Rachel! Happy Reading!

  7. I enjoyed all the Winston Brothers books, but I really liked the way Reid handled Shelly's OCD and how she had Beau react to it.

  8. We've just been getting boring rain here in England ;-) those books keep popping up. I've still not read any of Patricia Briggs but she's definitely on my wish list.

  9. Rain, rain and more rain! Send some my way, will you? :) Like you, I really enjoyed The Unhoneymooners but I agree that Josh & Hazel was even better.I just read Crownover's novella for the new series, Unbroken, and it definitely has me ready for Justified.

  10. I'll bet that marathon took something out of you. Nice bit of reading this week. I want to read the Penny Reid series at some point.

    Have a good week, Rachel!

  11. I’ve got a review for the ninth Mercy Thompson book coming up next week, then I need to find time to get caught up to Stormcursed.

    Have a great reading week

  12. It's been raining a lot here, too- such a rainy spring!

Storm Cursed looks awesome- and I always love the covers on those!

  13. Lots of rain here too! IN fact yesterday we had a wicked thunder and lightning storm, it was pretty awesome! Super soggy here now though so we need the rain so I really can't complain. Have a great week!!

  14. I've still to read Josh and Hazel (it's on my kindle, I have no excuse!) but the unhoneymooners sounds awesome!

    Well done with the running!

  15. Josh & Hazel is still my favorite, too. :)
We finally had some really nice weather over the weekend, after lots of rain. It hit 80+ degrees in Ohio, which isn't a normal thing!
    Have a great week, Rachel!

  16. It's either been hot or rainy lately...though today was pretty nice; got to spend some time reading outside!! :)

  17. I've read most of Christina Lauren's books, but it looks like I need to read their Josh and Hazel book! I've been eyeing Jay Crownover's new series, because I loved her Marked Men Series also! I hope you feel better from your race soon Rachel! Have a great week!
