The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week. I'm also linking up to The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance @Readerbuzz.
I skipped last week because early Sunday a dear friend of ours died unexpectedly and we were heartbroken. It was sudden and unexpected and my husband and I were shocked. We had just seen our friend at the wedding a few weeks back in Las Vegas where he seemed to be in good health.
The weather is warming up this week high 70s and low 80s. My roses are really starting to bloom.
As usual, I'm working puzzles. They make me happy. I bought this one at Filoli Gardens. It was pretty hard!

ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you, Anne! It was shocking and tragic being that he was planning on retiring in the near future. Flowers and puzzles make me happy! I want to listen to the graphic audio of it next!
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
ReplyDeleteThe books look perfect for this time of year, especially Other People's Summers, The Summer that Changed Everything, and One Golden Summer.
Thank you, Deb. We're still reeling. I didn't notice I had quite a few summer books! Other People's Summers was a delight. I think you'd like it.

Thank you, Jinger!
DeleteSo sorry to hear of your friend. That is so tough. Things like that are shocking. Still trying to heal from my dad. Your roses are beautiful and must be so nice to see. The tea time puzzle does look very hard. I'm working a puzzle on rescue dogs and I'm having a tough time making too much progress. I need the expert here.
ReplyDeleteYes, your dad's death was such a shock! And so soon after your mother. I can imagine you'll be healing for a while, especially with it being a close relative. :(
DeleteHaha! Some puzzles are hard. I do kind of have a sequence I go through. My daughter is really good at puzzles!
Tough loss of your friend. I don't blame you for needing some time to grieve.
ReplyDeleteLovely roses and nice bouquet. Oh yeah, that tea puzzle with all the similar objects and one background color would be difficult.
Fun book win!
Have a good week, Rachel!
Yes, it was. Thank you! I'm loving all the garden blooms! Yep, the tea puzzle edge was super hard! It got easier after I got going. You too, Sophia!
DeleteSorry about your friend. The flowers are pretty and those puzzles look great!
