About the book: He’ll guard her body all night long.

Former Marine Jude Wilde’s motto has always been “burn bridges and never look back,” so nobody is more surprised when Wilde Security is hired to protect assistant district attorney Libby Pruitt, the woman he loved and left. Although she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Jude, they’re forced to fake a relationship for her safety. He can’t ignore the heat still simmering between them, and when her stalker’s threats escalate to attempted murder, he’s left with no choice but to whisk her away to a friend’s safe house in Key West, FL.

Cooped up in paradise together, Jude begins to chip away at Libby’s resolve to hate him. But even as she gives in to his proximity and her body’s demands for his, she refuses to fall for his charms again. Maybe a torrid affair in the sun is exactly what she needs to get him out of her system. But when her stalker tracks them down, can they escape the steamy Key West night without anyone getting hurt?

There was so much to choose from but here are my five favorite, fun and juicy quotes/passages that I highlighted in my copy:

His grin only widened, and he snaked an arm around her waist, pulling her against all that hard muscle she remembered too well. He used to pull her in like this and kiss her every time he saw her, no matter if she had been gone for an hour or a week. It had made her feel special, wanted, adored.  What a crock.

"You okay, Libs?"
"Yes," she said, eyeing him up and down.  He had a tear in the thigh of his jeans and seemed to be favoring his right side. "Are you? Did he hit you?"
"No. Landed hard, but I'm fine." He grinned. "Better than fine. This was the most fun I've had in weeks. Feels good to get the adrenaline going. Wanna have sex?"
Libby huffed out a breath in disbelief. "You're insane."

She nipped at his lip, punishing him for making her ache with desire like this, but he didn't back away. Instead he took that as an invitation, and the taste of him filled her mouth as he invaded and claimed.

"Christ," he whispered. Finally shutting his eyes, he leaned his damp forehead against hers as shudders continued to wrack his body. "Oh, Christ. I can't get enough of you. I can't get enough."

"You got it," he said and nuzzled her earlobe. He still hadn't removed his hands from her waist, and in that moment, with the sun turning to rust and sinking toward the horizon, the wind tangling her hair and his warm, solid weight pressed to her back...in that moment, she hoped he never let go of her.

My Thoughts:

Being an Assistant District Attorney has proved to be very dangerous to Libby Pruitt.  She’s getting creepy death threats that her father and just about everyone else around her are taking very serious; serious enough to hire a bodyguard to keep watch over her until they discover the psycho after her.  Unfortunately for Libby, her father has hired the last man she ever wants to see again: Jude Wilde.  Gorgeous, magnetic, and overwhelming, Jude ignites every naughty desire in Libby.  Too bad he’s the man who shattered her heart to bits eight years ago, two days after his marriage proposal.

When a close call sends them into hiding, Jude and Libby are sequestered alone in a tropical paradise.  (So sad, right?!)  Here they must face an attraction that never went away and the past that continues to haunt and hurt them both.

Being sequestered in a beautiful tropical paradise with a hunky, sassy, sex-god-of-a-man sounds like pure torture to me, but hey, we all have our cross to bear!!  Seriously, this was pure fun.  I loved that Jude and Libby got a second chance at love and was rooting for them the whole time.  They had wicked chemistry and could barely keep their hands off each other!!  Wilde Nights was everything I love in a romance: chemistry, and little bit of heartache, and lots of FIRE!! Jude just oozed sex appeal and together they lit up the pages with some pretty steamy scenes.

Even though I had my suspicions early on, the mystery was still exciting and I enjoyed how it all played out.

As with SEAL of Honor (my review), Tonya Burrows thrilled me with her mix of romance, adventure, danger, and suspense!  Can’t wait for the next Wilde Nights story!
