The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.
We got a lot of rain here in California, which we really need, but it didn't come without some disaster. Big Sur had a big portion of Highway 1 wash out again. This also happened in 2017 and it took over a year and big money to fix it back then. We vacation often in a coastal town just south of Big Sur and drive on up for lunch while taking in the beautiful ocean views. Guess we'll have to skip that on our next trip in April.
Of course just when we got walloped with this storm they re-opened restaurants for outdoor dining! It's sunny today, though, so we might go out and support a local establishment. I'm bringing a big coat, beanie and scarf, lol. They do have heaters and tenting, though.

I've loved Claudia Connor's McKinney/Walker series so I was thrilled to see she released a new book. They're all available on Kindle Unlimited now.
Watched:
We watched a couple more episodes of Bridgerton and now have three left to go.
How was your week?
I binge watched Bridgerton! Hope you love it as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's quite a bit of damage there. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy a restaurant meal.
ReplyDeleteWow that's impressive the damage on that road! And now, what do you think of Bridgerton?
ReplyDeleteI rode part of Hwy 1 on my Harley when I was out there so whoa. I'm glad you have some good weather and great books to read.

Crikey! The road is gone
ReplyDeleteThat washed out road is something!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that photo of the road that is washed out is scary! It has been a long time since I read Claudia Connor but I have really liked her books in the past. I will have to check this new one out. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSaw that news about the mud slide near Big Sur. Tough on the locals I'm sure. Glad you can get out and support local even all bundled up. :) Looks like a good reading week. I've been watching All Creatures Great and Small.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Rachel!
Wow, that part of the highway got wiped out.
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed when I see the roads do that. I guess it just comes with the territory. I see you're reading The Night Swim now. I loved it when I read it last year, so I'm eager to read your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame about the road. It happens especially with flash floods and extreme weather patterns.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to watch the Bridgerton series, but I haven't read all the books yet! I need to get back to reading those books!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!

Love the Sunday posts and I feel I have been missing the ones for previous weeks. That highway pic looks scary. Everyone is obsessed with Bridgerton and I think I'll wait a bit to watch it myself. Great post :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's crazy about the highway!! I'm glad your weather is clearing up though. It's been really snowy where I live.

We started Bridgerton on Sunday and have watched the first three episodes, I’m really enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteOn my bucket list is to drive the Pacific Coast Highway, it looks so beautiful but that is definitely not a quick job to fix that.
That picture is awfully impressive, my jaw hasn't gone back up yet ! I recently watched a short video you might enjoy about Bridgerton : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS6j-v3BioM ;)
