About the book
One night in college can change everything…

Away at college, Amy just wants one night alone without her high school sweetheart, Joe. So when he invites her to go to the library, she heads off on her own instead. How she ended up at a house party with the mysterious bad-boy Trevor is another story…

Joe so isn’t going to the library. He needs space from Amy, too, so he’s decided to rush a fraternity, to get back the swagger he had in high school. But it doesn’t take long for the brothers to invite him to the real rush here the beer is flowing and one particular girl has set her eyes on Joe.

Over the course of one wild night, both Amy and Joe will have to decide if their futures belong with two new people, or whether the next forever will have their first loves in it.
Hi Lisa, thanks so much for stopping by!
Thank you for having me :).

1.For those who might not have had the chance to read Pretty Amy yet, can you please give us the nutshell version of what The Next Forever is about?
It is a turning point for a couple told over the course of one night at college. Amy and Joe are high school sweethearts who have been away at college for about a month. During this one night they each go off on their own and try to decide if they are better apart or together. Lots of temptation is thrown their way and it is told from both of their points of view.

2.Did you know right away after finishing Pretty Amy that you would write a sequel to Amy's story?
I didn't. I kind of thought the Happily Ever After we got at the end of Pretty Amy was THE END, but I started thinking about what they might be like together in college and I knew I had to explore if they could really make it. If their Happily Ever After could withstand college.

3. I could definitely relate to Amy and Joe's relationship, will we get to see these two again?
It's definitely possible. I have another book in the works from this world that the two of them may make an appearance in. For those who have read Pretty Amy, it would be Lila's book :).

4. If you had to choose one song for this book, what would it be?
Somewhere Only We Know, Keane.

5.What's the last book you read?
Dare Me by Megan Abbott

6. What other projects do you have in the works?
I have a Young Adult companion novel to Pretty Amy titled Dear Cassie from her best friend Cassie's point of view that is coming out March 5th. I also have 3 more books in the pipeline, two Young Adult and one New Adult, but they aren't definite yet, so I can't say more than that. Suffice it to say, I hope to have a new book or two or three to announce in the next couple months.

Fun:
Indoors or Outdoors? Indoors
Summer or Winter? Fall
Pizza or Gourmet Meal? Both
Paperback or eBook? Paperback

Thanks again for stopping by Waves of Fiction Lisa!

After reading The Next Forever I realized that this was a companion novel to Pretty Amy which I have not read.  That is clearly a mistake I am hoping to fix in the very near future.  I loved Amy and Joe, they just seemed so perfect for each other and after I finished this book I craved more from them.  If you loved Pretty Amy then you are definitely going to want to pick this book up and if you haven't yet then take my word for it you need to pick it up ASAP!
