Waves of Sunday #8

Welcome to our weekly edition of Waves of Sunday where each Sunday we spotlight a book that has been making waves in the book scene or has simply caught our attention causing a riptide on our TBR.

Today we are spotlighting:
Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin
Expected publication December 27th 2012 by Bandit Publishing Company
About the book

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.
Arlene's Thoughts
Okay this book won't be out for a couple more weeks, and I'm already chomping at the bit to get my hands on it. So what caught my attention???  First of all - Male POV. Second - Going back to find the girl he loved and never forgot. And third - I'm sensing a tortured soul here. I'm already thinking he's written some songs about her, and he's probably even a hot mess. Oh sweet painful HELL my fictional imagination is going all over the map! I want this book NOW!!

Amber's Thoughts
Oh man! When I read the synopsis of this book, I instantly knew I wanted to read this! Like Arlene said, Male POV...Love them! This sounds like it's going to be full of heart wrenching moments. Gah! I have a feeling this will be a literary emotional ride, and one I wanna jump aboard.
