Sunday Post #14

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.

So it poured rain the entire week here making my commute even more fun than usual. Lol! At least I have audio books, right? My flight up to Northern California was delayed because of that as well, but I passed the time reading on my Kindle, so it was all good.    Anyhow, it's cleared up, and it's a beautiful, mostly sunny day here. Below is the sunrise with some pretty fog/clouds blanketing the valley.

Read:
(click on cover for Goodreads link)

I read *listened* to The Mistake after loving The Deal. It was good, but I didn't like it as much as The Deal. I picked up an audio copy of The Liar's Girl at the library after reading Blodeuedd's @Book Girl of Mur-Y-Castell wonderful review.  It was pretty addictive and the narrators were really good!  Watcher in the Woods is book #4 in the Rockton series and it was amazing! I'll have my review up closer to the release date.  How to Seduce a Bad Boy was a total flop. The whole thing felt very juvenile and it was an adult book.  The author "liked" my one star review on Goodreads.  That's kind of awkward, right?

Received/Purchased/Library Lend:

I was thrilled to get a copy of The Bride Test and will probably read it super early just because I'm so excited for Khai's story! I downloaded Now or Never after reading  Carol's Random Life in Book's  fab review.  I just started it and I'm enjoying it so far. I got a copy of Distress Signals is Catherine Ryan Howard's debut and I wanted more of her reading The Liar's Girl. Plus, serial killer on a cruise ship sounds a little terrifying!

Watched:

Not very much, just two episodes of Modern Family which never fails to make me laugh!

So how was your week?

  1. I love the rain! It feels weird to say this seeing as it's the UK but we haven't had enough rain lately. :( I miss crazy rainy days where I can snuggle up and not feel guilty about not going outside, lol.

Hope you have a good week Rachel!

  2. I love Northern California, but it is scary lately. But then again, so is Southern California...and maybe Central. But we don't have hurricanes.

Enjoy your week. We had rain in Central California this week, but yesterday was warm, like a spring day.

  3. We had a little rain last night - the first we've seen in weeks. I just wish it hadn't waited until bedtime to start hammering on the motorhome roof!

  5. That is such a beautiful picture! I also wasn't a huge fan of The Mistake. I loved The Deal and The Score the most out of the series.

  7. My goodness that photo of the sunrise looks like something from a magazine. Just beautiful! I really want to continue that Elle Kennedy series. Too bad The Mistake didn't live up to The Deal for you. :( How exciting that you got an arc of The Bride Test! I am so looking forward to that one!

  8. Ooh beautiful photo! It rained most of yesterday and then turned to snow. It didn't snow quite as much as it did elsewhere though, so that's good!

  13. It snowed here, and I ended up in a line at the grocery store that snaked all the way back to the back of the store. I was quite thankful for my audiobook!
