The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated reviewer book blog, and is a post to recap my bookish and non-bookish things from the last week.
I flew up to my daughter's in Northern California on Thursday. My husband stayed home to work on our kitchen. It's a big mess, but I'm looking forward to the final result. We've been having fun with the kids, going to a couple of parks and watching movies. I'll be flying home tomorrow.

Both really good end-of-the-world scenarios. I guess they're coming out with a third Quiet Place and I can't wait!
How was your week?
Hope you had a great trip! And I'll bet the kitchen will be nice when it's completed.
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the weekend! :)
Safe travels!!
I think you were smart to sneak off and not have to worry about the kitchen lol. I've been thinking about checking out The Quiet Place II, sounds interesting. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou are going all out for xmas :D
ReplyDeleteOoo you saw quiet place 2. Was it as good as the first? Hope your trip home goes well. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a nice time with your daughter. Have a safe trip home!
ReplyDeleteWill you read the Christmas books early? I'm a seasonal reader for the most part, so I'd have to wait, lol. Hope you enjoy them!

Glad you are having fun with the kids. Hope the husband made some progress on the kitchen. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about the reveal.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's a lot of Christmas books! Some pre-holiday reading? Or stocking up for the holidays?
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun at your daughters and good luck with the kitchen work! I'm sure the mess will be worth it in the end.
It's great you could get away during the construction mess and yet have a trusted person there. I will be on my own for my project. My daughter may go visit her dad or something. Thanks for continuing on with the Read-along. I'll go check out your review!

I don't blame you for getting away during the kitchen project. I am not eager to start ours. Fun that you could visit with your daughter and grandkids. I got Uncharted, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Rachel.
I just watched A Quiet Place (the first movie) last month, and totally loved it. I can't wait to watch the second one.
ReplyDeleteI love Gerard Butler. I'll have to watch that one.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't ant to be around for all the construction either.
Glad you are having a fun time with your kids! Hope you have a great week!

ReplyDeleteSafe Travels! I read Brambleberry Summer and enjoyed it. All your books look great. Happy Reading
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good trip! The first thing I noticed when I saw the books were that they all have such pretty covers! Interesting seeing Gerard Butler - I don't think I've seen him in anything since Phantom of the Opera years and years ago!
ReplyDeleteHope you've enjoyed the time with your kids!
